Thankfully, my dad let us borrow his little RCA DVD player for our 13 hour drive home from Indiana back to NYC. We went to Walmart’s $5 movie section and I found this Audrey movie I had never seen, “Paris When it Sizzles”. It is easily my favorite Hepburn flick. It is whimsical, pretty, and to top it off the setting is Paris on Bastille Day. The costume changes are limited because the story takes place during 2 days. But boy, oh boy, do they count when the scenes do change. This is also the first time I have ever seen her with her hair down. What a gorgeous look!
and what a look with the hair up! I love it. Thankfully A Beautiful Mess just taught us all how to do the beehive look.
It is still my dream to traipse around Paris with this same charm. One line in the movie sum’s up Audrey’s character Gabrielle. She talks about her reason to move to Paris was basically to just “live”. And her Paris purpose is quite contagious.
